Because handing over part of your business is a big deal—and you deserve to know what to expect.

If you’ve never worked with a virtual business manager before, you might wonder:

What does Gemma actually do day to day?

And more importantly—how does that support you?

Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I spend a typical workday supporting my clients.

☀️ Morning: Setting the Day Up for Success

  • Inbox check, prioritising key emails and flagging urgent actions

  • Reviewing calendars, sending reminders, and adjusting plans if needed

  • Processing invoices or bookkeeping tasks

  • Managing time-sensitive tasks—like confirming travel, supplier requests, or chasing up quotes

🕛 Midday: Deep Work & Delivery

  • Working through project support tasks (e.g. ISO prep, document formatting, internal audit planning)

  • Uploading content to websites or scheduling social posts

  • Liaising with contractors, suppliers, or team members on behalf of the client

  • Responding to client updates and adjusting priorities in real time

🌙 Afternoon: Wrapping Up and Forward Planning

  • Following up on outstanding items

  • Updating trackers, logs, or reports

  • Organising files, saving key records, and leaving things tidy for the next day

  • Checking in with clients to give them peace of mind: "Here’s what’s been done, what’s next, and what I’ve handled today."

No two days are exactly the same, but the feeling clients get is consistent:

“I didn’t have to worry about it. I knew Gemma had it covered.”

📩 Curious what that would feel like in your business or home?
